Internships & Programs

We are here to help provide opportunities and programs to enhance our community's involvement in aerospace and engineering. We have provided a list of internships and programs as potential ways to strengthen yourself in STEM and aerospace.

NASA OSTEM Summer Internships

NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) Summer Internships are paid opportunities for high school through graduate-level students to contribute to real-world NASA projects under the guidance of experienced mentors. These internships, typically lasting 10 weeks, allow participants to engage in meaningful work that supports NASA’s missions, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in various fields, including STEM and non-STEM disciplines.

Lockheed Martin Internships

Lockheed Martin offers a comprehensive internship program for high school and college students, providing hands-on experience in aerospace, defense, and advanced technology fields. Interns collaborate with industry professionals, engage in real-world projects, and participate in professional development activities such as mentoring, workshops, and networking events. These internships are designed to prepare students for future careers.

NASA SEES Internship

The STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) Summer High School Intern Program is a nationally competitive, tuition-free internship for rising high school juniors and seniors, hosted by the University of Texas at Austin’s Center for Space Research and funded by NASA. The program offers students the opportunity to engage in authentic Earth and space science research, including interpreting NASA satellite data and participating in projects such as astronomy, remote sensing, and climate science.
